Yoshiyuki Sato (Club Sponsor-Y-sato Marine)
“The last few weeks has not been easy for us, but I am happy that you all have stood up together and performed extremely well in our last three games. Although we’ve not won the league this season, I am happy we finished second, we have qualified for the OFC champions league group D, and we have home advantage here. Thank you everyone for not despairing, for not giving up, for standing up, and truly proving that you fight until the very last end. Continue with that Marist spirit, and all the best in your preparation for O’league.”
Chris Anthony (Y-Sato marine)
“From the last game, when you came off the pitch, I could see you’ve tried your best, you’ve done your best for each other. Last 2weeks, I think it has been a different team, a better team, more of a team playing for each other. Last week was superb, this week again fantastic, and I think credit to Jerry Allan, the team captain and every individual players”.
Jerry Allen (Coach)
“To be honest, I am very pleased with the result especially our last 3games, the boys played extremely well. We’ve achieved our goal, and that is; to qualify for the OFC Champions league. The boys performed accordingly to what I asked them to do on the pitch, and I am very proud of them.”
Henry Fa’arodo (Captain)
“Well the win against Kossa for me is an important win. It gets us through another O’league and it also shows what we are capable of archiving when we put all the effort in. I think the last few games have been a true test of character and attitude and I hope the boys, the team can learn from this situation. For me, the performance from the boys have been outstanding, I have seen some players have stepped up and have delivered when it counts… and now we are in the O’league , this is another opportunity for each individual to perform and help the team achieve another milestone in football.”
Joachim Waroi (Defender)
“Performance-wise, in our last 3 crucial games, the players execute the game plan. Credit to Jerry Allen and each individual players who all played their hearts out together.”
Marist will face Malaita Kingz on Sunday 4pm at Lawson Tama stadium, 19th Nov, for the final league match.
