Marist Football Club
Koriak Upaiga in action for Marist during the OFC Champions League 2016-2017 in Tahiti.
Our loyal Papua New Guinean international, defender Koriak Upaiga is expected to arrive next week and be part of the team for this season 2017-2018.
Koriak Upaiga was part of Marist’s successful campaign last season and is going to make a return this season 2017-2018. He was also part of Marist’s OFC champions league campaign early this year in Tahiti. The tall aggressive left-footed defender has established himself as one of Juliano’s key man at the back and has made almost all the competitive appearance for the club last season.
The club has already registered Koriak before transfer window closes on Tuesday 15th August but awaits confirmation from the TSL board and OFC due to the ongoing political happenings between PNGFA and its former associations. Just today after a technical meeting held at SIFF, the club was given the green-light that Koriak is eligible to play again for Marist.
Koriak is expected to arrive next week and is likely to feature in our second league game.
