Marist FC have officially unveil Joachim Waroi today. The 28 year old centre Back became Marist second major signing this season as Juliano schmeling keen to strengthen the squad ahead of 2017-2018 S-League campaign. Speaking to Marist official site today, Waroi said he’s very excited to be part of Marist again, “I will do my best and give 100 percent to the club.”
Waroi began his football career with Marist as a forward, he joined Hekari of Papua New Guinea in 2008-2010. In 2011 he returned to Marist FC before joining Vanuatu club champion Amicale FC that same year. He returned to Hekari the following year for another two seasons (2013-2014, 2014-2015) before returning home to join FC Guadalcanal. Waroi returned to Papua New Guinea to join Lae City Dwellers for the OFC champions league last year before joining Western United full season 2016-2017. Waroi has made almost all competitive appearance for Western united last season and is currently playing as Right back for Solomon Islands national team.
