We are pleased to confirm that we will have two new Brazilian players arriving next week Thursday to join us for the whole season 2017-2018.
The Brazilian duo, former Rewa and Amicale players, defender Diego Maximo and attacking Midfielder Marcelo Oliveira will arrive next week Thursday 27th July to be part of the team for the rest of the season. Both players have been playing for Amicale of Vanuatu since last year (2016) and were recently loaned out to Rewa of Fiji, to help them in their OFC champions league campaign early this year.
Diego Benedito Galvao Maximo
Diego Maximo commonly known as Diego is a centre back recently played for Rewa FC of Fiji in the 2017 OFC Champions League group stage in Tahiti early this year. The 31 year old 1.93m (6 ft 4 in) tall centre-back begun his football career back in 2006 with Guaratingueta Futebol Clube of Sao Paulo state in Brazil. Diego joins FC Amicale of Vanuatu last year (2016) from Estanciano Esporte Clube.
Marcelo Tannus de Oliveira Junior
Marcelo Oliveira is an attacking midfielder who also can deployed as Left-Midfielder and Right-Midfielder. The 23 year old attacker has played for Taubate Clube of Brazil since 2014 before joining Amicale last year (2016). Marcelo joined Rewa of Fiji on loan from Amicale, he scored two OFC champions league goals in 3 appearance for the club.
The club believes, the arrival of the two Brazilian will further strengthen the squad as we set sight on S-League title defence that will begin at the end of this month.
